Fall Football Food Frenzy
10am Saturday morning, eating donuts, wings and beer in a parking lot.
Yes, football season is upon us. And for me, that means Saturday mornings tailgating in the ND parking lot, along with husband, father, brothers, sisters (also all grads); plus hordes of nieces and nephews, friends and our kids and other siblings who managed to evade the familial ND hysteria.
This year TBG and I stepped it up a notch: we brought a table and gold paper

candy corn and peanuts
cloth to the tailgate, so we weren’t eating our wings directly out of the hatchback. Sarcasm and scorn from the regulars! Other tailgates have elaborate spreads, including cloth table covers, flowers, wine with real glasses, balloons and tents and even music; and impressive buffets with copper chafing dishes, gourmet foods, and even deep fryers for Turducken!
We don’t go in for all that. But my Omaha BFF J gave me a seasonal recipe that’s colorful, easy and fun. There’ll be no mocking of this snack!
1 big bag Brach’s candy corn + 1 large jar Planter’s lightly salted peanuts = a bowl full of fun fall football food

It was wonderful. My frown turned upside down after a little taste. And you were right, it did taste like a Payday.
Yay!! what fun! Glad you liked it! Now add a few mini marshmallows and see how that tastes!!
Hi Omaha BFF J
Give me the recipe for the Fall Puppy Chow…I know my SSN readers would love to be snacking on that!
