Are You Ready For Some Football!
Tis the season: no, not Christmas: we have 112 days left until Santa visits. I’m talking countdown to kick-off! Notre Dame’s football season kicks-off tomorrow against Purdue. Which means today TBG and Moi (and Mignette, of course) are prepping for tailgate season.

This year the family has 3 freshmen at ND, so the tailgate is going to be infinitely bigger. And TBG is stepping his game up by upgrading from Popeye’s chicken to grilling brats, burgers and franks.
So in addition to the blue and gold (and Kelly green to honor new Irish Coach Kelly)
The back of the car will also be hauling
- a new Weber Q portable grill and propane tanks
- 2 folding tables
- assorted grill tools, bbq mitts, digital thermometers, wood chips
- cooler filled with meat and condiments (Handlmaier’s Sweet Bavarian Mustard???)
- lots of aluminum foil
Hmmmm, how many burgers do you think we can fit on the grill?

Ummmm…you’re not bringing any beer/alcoholic beverages for the tailgate??? It may just be you, TBG and the Weber Q hanging out…enjoy!
Grramdma’s bringing the Handlmeier’s mustard and some dessert + hopefully, good weather. Watched Utah vs. Pitt last night – future N.D. oponents. What can we expect from N.D.
I will be on the lookout for things that would complement your tailgate decor!
Thirsty:
TBG is not in charge of beverages: or we’d be drinking red wine at the tailgate. The Brothers are bringing the brews and chips.
What about the peanuts and candycorn you told us about last season? That was wonderful and did infact taste like a Payday. Looks like a good start to an awesome tailgate.
The peanut candy corn mix will be making it’s seasonal debut in October.
You have seasonal tailgate food?? That just cracks me up!
oh Lady Lotus you are sooooo clearly not a football fan. We not only have seasonal tailgate food, we have seasonal tailgate decor! See what you’re missing out on?
