Antique Linens: Treasures from Berlin
It all started with a tweet July 6 from @TheAntiquesDiva:
Found gorgeous antique linens with CR embroidered – perfect for @shesshoppingnow

Immediately following were a series of frantic emails and phone calls, and the deal was done: the antique monogrammed linens were mine!
Turns out, my Berlin bff The Antiques Diva was visiting a recent discovery: the perpetual Potsdam garage sale. The Diva had been clued-in to this sale by her new friend, Chef in Berlin.

In planning your life strategies, it is always helpful to have bffs who live all over the world, and who know your taste and shopping passions. It’s even better when your friend opens her own online brocante, Treasures by the Antiques Diva.
A few days later, I received an email:
Regarding linens, you’ll love them!! I bought everything he had with CR and you are now the proud owner of :
- Additionally there is 1 very basic twinsheet with CR on bottom corner.
There are 10 pieces (excluding the napkins) but we got everything (3 pieces more than originally planned) for 5euros more than I told you to expect for the 7 pieces but for the 3 extra pieces we found I didn’t think you’d care! It’s a PHENONMENAL DEAL.
I’ll go to the post office this week and mail them off to you.
You’ll love them… I’m only bummed they didn’t have any with my initials.
And a few days later, a box postmarked Berlin arrived, brimming with gorgeous ivory colored linens, all hand-embroidered with Moi monogram:

Treasures online brocante opened recently to allow The Antiques Diva to share her passions for shopping, antiques, travel and Europe. Although I travel regularly I too shop Treasures: in fact, I was their first on-line customer when I scored a vintage glass French pen stand for TBG father’s day gift!
Moi Tip: The Antiques Diva can shop for your Treasures too: she shops on demand: email her at toma@antiquesdiva.com.
I recently read an article in the NYTimes about textiletrunk.com, an online store for European antique textiles. I haven’t shopped Textile Trunk yet, but the prices and inventory look interesting. Let me know if you’ve shopped textiletrunk.com.

Now I’m jealous! When will The Antiques Diva run across antique lines that say “ST”???
